MY STORY

At the start of 2022 I embraced my passion for Mental Health and Well-being by immersing myself as a freelance practitioner for Mindful Wellbeing and Speech and Drama. I found mindful meditation as a way to combat stress. Mindfulness has helped me to become a calmer and more focused person, adding a completely new dimension to my everyday life. I wanted to share this amazing life skill with my own students and with others. The next step was to undertake my Mindful Meditation Teacher Training with the “British School of Meditation” where I achieved my DipBSoM with Distinction. I since have undertaken training as a Mindfulness Life Coach and a certified NLP Practitioner.
At my previous school I implemented Mindfulness and well-being into the curriculum, winning a prestigious "Mental Health" Award.
I regularly teach Mindful Meditation and Speech and Drama at schools throughout Gloucestershire.
I have been teaching since 1989 in Secondary Schools and I have never before witnessed so many mental health concerns in teenagers. One of the main problems lies with the fact that teenagers’ lives are constantly stimulated and they seem to have lost that ability to “be with themselves”. Added to this we now have the aftermath of Covid19, global unrest and environmental concerns.
Mindful meditation is just the tool they need to “switch off” their “monkey mind" and become more calm and relaxed.
